Rolex Datejust 36mm 10 Diamond Black Dial on Jubilee 126234

Overview 

The Rolex Datejust 126234 carries the case size Rolex used at the model's 1945 debut: 36mm, the diameter of the original reference. The current 36mm generation, introduced in 2019, keeps that proportion in a White Rolesor construction, Oystersteel case and bracelet, 18k white gold fluted bezel. This example adds a factory diamond dial to that specification, placing it at the more finished end of the 36mm range without moving into full gold.

The case is 36mm Oystersteel, paired with an 18k white gold fluted bezel, the gold confined entirely to that bezel. The black dial is a sunray finish, achieved through radial brushing before the black is applied and sealed under a light coat of varnish; against that surface, the 10 diamond hour markers are factory-set by Rolex. Cyclops lens sits over the date at 3 o'clock. The Jubilee bracelet on this White Rolesor configuration is finished entirely in Oystersteel; the centre links carry no gold, keeping the gold statement to the bezel alone.

The Calibre 3235 delivers a 70-hour power reserve, Chronergy escapement, and Parachrom hairspring, certified as a Superlative Chronometer to ±2 seconds a day. Water resistance is 100 metres, more than sufficient for a dress reference that will rarely see water beyond a rinse.

Within the 126234 range, the black diamond dial sits at the more dressed end of the White Rolesor family, ahead of the plain index or Roman numeral dials but short of a full gold Datejust or a Yellow Rolesor equivalent, where the centre links do carry gold. Diamond dial pieces at 36mm have held steadier demand than the equivalent diamond configurations on the larger 41mm case; 36mm remains the size most requested for this specification. We see consistent interest in factory diamond dials at this scale, the combination of a smaller case, white gold bezel, and set hour markers reads more considered than showy, which is the register most of our buyers are after. This piece is brand new, unworn, excellent condition, complete original set with box and papers dated July 2026, at RM63,000.
