The Story
Overview
The Omega Seamaster Diver 300M reference 210.32.42.20.01.001 is Omega's current-generation dive watch: technically the most capable in the Seamaster line's history, and in some measurable respects, more advanced than watches at a higher price point.
The 42mm steel case carries a black ceramic bezel with a white enamel diving scale, and retains the conical helium escape valve at 10 o'clock, a design element that has defined the Seamaster's profile for decades. The dial is black ceramic, laser-engraved with Omega's wave pattern. Applied markers and skeletonized hands are filled with Super-LumiNova. Date sits at 6 o'clock. This example is fitted on Omega's black rubber strap, the standard pairing for this reference; the same case and dial are also available on a steel bracelet under a different reference number. Water resistance is 300 metres.
The movement is the Calibre 8800: Omega's Co-Axial Master Chronometer, certified by METAS, the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology, rather than COSC alone. METAS certification requires the movement to perform to +0/+5 seconds per day and to maintain accuracy in a magnetic field of up to 15,000 gauss. That is not a marketing claim. The power reserve is 55 hours.
Against the Submariner at roughly three times the price, it makes a legitimate technical argument: a different market position, not an inferior watch. This piece is brand new, unworn, complete original set with box and papers dated June 2026, at RM22,700 against retail of RM27,450.
